Seydou, a migrant from Senegal, works long hours as a food delivery driver in Paris, navigating a city that barely acknowledges his existence. Stevan Lee Mraovitch

Stevan Lee Mraovitch, born in New York City to Taiwanese and Serbian parents, is a creative force whose work reflects his rich, multicultural upbringing. His diverse heritage informs his unique artistic perspective, blending various cultural influences seamlessly. After completing his Master of Fine Arts in Film at Columbia University, Stevan developed a crucial mentorship with his professor, the respected film producer Michael Hausman. This relationship sparked a series of successful projects that
have significantly shaped his career. His debut feature, Holidays at Any Cost, won multiple awards including the Audience and Jury Awards at Austin. Stevan's film career is marked by collaborations with notable figures such as David Mamet, Barry Levinson and the versatile actress and filmmaker Julie Delpy. His work seamlessly harmonizes European and American cinematic styles, and is dedicated to telling authentic, emotionally resonant stories. Beyond filmmaking, Stevan's artistic talents extend to poetry and photography. At the age of 22, he published his first poetry collection, “Analgesia, the Scars of Love and Revolts. ” This anthology explores profound themes of nostalgia and brotherhood set against the backdrop of war-torn Yugoslavia, reflecting Stevan's deep engagement with his Serbian heritage. The collection's impact led to a significant collaboration with the renowned painter Petar Omcikus, a distinguished member of the Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences. Learn More
