While Sherif (14), a Senegalese adolescent student in America, watches international cinema, George (11), his American host, disrupts his bouts of escapism. Both characters have an issue: Sherif misses home and George has nothing to do. They solve this problem by watching movies together but George can’t keep quiet.

Devin Powell is a writer/director from Charlotte, North Carolina, currently based in Queens, NY. He is a programmer for African Film Festival, Inc and a filmmaker. He studied film at Dartmouth College while playing for the football team as a wide receiver. His last short film, Last Joint premiered at Film at Lincoln Center during the 31st New York African Film Festival.
