Rachida El Garani is a filmmaker with Moroccan roots, that was born in 1975 in Genk, Belgium. In 2011, at the age of 36, she started her studies in the Audiovisual Arts at RITCS Brussel (Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema & Sound). During her studies, Rachida directed several fiction short films and documentaries, with themes around gender, migration, human rights, and diversity.
