Only a Child tells the story of a young boy who has given up his schooling so his brothers can continue with their education.
Part of the Cultural Healing project, based on a concept developed by British-Sudanese filmmaker Taghreed Elsanhouri, a creative peace-building project in Sudan that trained journalism students, civil society representatives and young people to make short documentary films which expressed their cultures and traditions.
About the Director
Eltahir Daoud
Eltahir Daoud is a graduate of The Fine Arts College of Khartoum. He is currently an elementary school teacher in Kosti. He joined The White Nile Cultural Healing Workshop, a concept developed by British-Sudanese filmmaker Taghreed Elsanhouri, a creative peace-building project in Sudan that trained journalism students, civil society representatives and young people to make short documentary films which expressed their cultures and traditions, in 2012.
