D. Wilmos Paul is a third-year MFA directing student at UCLA. Wilmos holds a bachelor’s degree in film and Media Arts from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, where he first settled when he fled his war-torn country, Liberia. While at Temple University, Wilmos participated in a study away program in Los Angeles where he interned at Hollywood Studios International, writing script coverage. He then worked on several productions, serving as a production assistant, a grip, and a gaffer. Using those experiences, Wilmos wrote, directed and produced six short films thereafter. One of which, The Last Supper won the best psychological thriller award at the Frozen Film festival in 2016. His debut feature screenplay, Immigrant Son, also placed as a finalist at WeScreenplay’s Diverse Voices screenwriting contest in 2018. Learn More
