Minga, an orphaned girl living with her stepmother and stepsister, accidentally breaks a spoon one day while washing dishes in the river. Her furious stepmother, Mami Kaba, chases her away from the house, asking Minga to find the only identical spoon hidden by Minga's late mother. An adventurous journey begins for Minga in the forest.

Claye Edou
Claye Edou was born in Djoum, Cameroon. Holder of a Diploma in Technological Studies in agro-industrial engineering and a Master's degree in Accounting and Financial Sciences and Techniques, he has always been passionate about animated films. In 2014, after having worked as a management controller for multinationals, he created the Cledley Productions Studio in Douala and adapted the popular Cameroonian tale "The Broken Spoon" into an animated musical. This is how Minga and the Broken Spoon was released in November 2017, the first animated feature film entirely produced and directed in Cameroon. The film was screened in around forty countries and crowned Best Feature Film at the Abidjan Animation Film Festival in 2018. It received the prize for Best International Film in 2019 in Kingston, Jamaica, during the KingstOOn Animation Festival. In 2022, he produced the film KANKAN, a biopic dedicated to the icon of humor and theater, Jean Miché Kankan. His second animated feature film, The Mystery of Waza, is scheduled for release in 2024.
