Guy-Désiré Yaméogo
Guy Désiré Yameogo is a filmmaker from Burkina Faso. He studied at La Fémis in Paris. He teaches at the Ouagadougou Institute Superior of Image and Sound (ISIS) in Burkina Faso. Some of his films include: Sol en dif (1999), Les Héritiers (1998), Faire face (1996), Si longue que soit la nuit, which won the prize of the French Cooperation at the Cannes Festival and the Special Jury Prize at FESPACO in 1997. He has directed a number of sketches and documentaires focusing on the difficulties faced by children in certain parts of the world, with support from the UN, Doctors Without Borders and Unicef.
