Fallou is the story of a young man who has been sent from Senegal to London by a marabout linked to an extremist group. Fallou will discover London’s energy, music and people. He will make new friends and eventually make a choice: stay faithful to his marabout or embrace the exciting life of this new city.
Alassane Sy
Alassane Sy was born in Mauritania and relocated to Senegal in the mid-eighties. Sy moved to Paris and then later New York, where a career in modeling brought him to the attention of director Andrew Dosunmu who cast Sy in the lead role for his feature film Restless City. This is where Sy’s acting career began. His directorial debut was the short film Marabout, which is currently on the festival circuit after premiering at the 2016 Carthage Festival in Tunis and has received international acclaim. Fallou is his most recent short film. He is also developing his directorial debut feature Talibes, based on his short film Marabout. Learn More
