Marquette Williams

Marquette Jerome Williams, born October 15, 1972, is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer. Williams was born in Detroit, Michigan and later on moved to Cleveland, Ohio. He earned a football scholarship to the University of Minnesota and it was there that he took his first film class and became interested in filmmaking. After dropping out of college to pursue a career in the NFL, he ultimately decided to move out to Hollywood and seek work as a screenwriter. Williams’ first company project was working on the film Bella Rose with Marcus Franklin. Williams is currently a partner and CEO for Greenhouse Studios. As managing director of studio business and creative affairs, he is responsible for promoting the growth of studio-based business to Greenhouse Studios. Williams met the co-founders of Greenhouse Studios, Desi Green and Moni Boyce, at the Cleveland International Film Festival one year. Greenhouse serves as the platform for Williams and others to pursue their filmmaking interests. Learn More
