The African filmmaker, Jean Odoutan, sets up a meeting with 300 actors for the casting of his film Barbecue-Pejo. Unfortunately, the filmmaker doesn't show up. As time drags on, tempers begin to flare.
Jean Odoutan
Jean Odoutan, born in Benin in 1965, is an actor, director, producer, and composer. Of all the works Odoutan has directed, he also produced and composed the music for each. Some of his acting credits include, Marche à l'ombre by Michel Blanc, Draw by Eric Woreth and La Bohême by Luigi Comencini, among many others. He worked as an assistant director on films such as Dien Bien Phu by Pierre Schoendorffer before directing his own films. He has made several video clips and short films. His first feature film Barbeque-Pejo, was selected into many African, European, and American festivals. He is also the creator of a film festival, the Quintessence International Film Festival of Ouidah, Benin. Learn More
