About the Directors

Claudia Owusu

Claudia Owusu is a Ghanaian-American Writer and Filmmaker based in Columbus, Ohio. She writes from these two liminal spaces in an attempt to make sense of them. She believes in the beauty of community and the intimate stories we share when we think no one is listening. Her work engages the spaces that Black women and girls occupy, namely their relationship with safety, carefreeness, and self-ownership. Learn More

Ife Oluwamuyide

Ife Oluwamuyide is a Nigerian-American visual artist and filmmaker based in both Columbus, OH and Brooklyn, NY. She is a student at Pratt Institute, studying fine art with a minor in community art and design education. As a black female artist it is important that she writes her own narrative, exploring the complexities and beauty of black womanhood and learning to embrace, love, and cherish each and every aspect of it.
