Join us for Opening Night of the 29th New York African Film Festival at Film at Lincoln Center! This year, we celebrate and explore our personal, communal, and global notions of freedom, under the banner, Visions of Freedom. We open this year's festival with a screening and discussion of Gessica Généus' acclaimed new feature film, Freda.

Your ticket purchase includes access to the screening and reception, and goes towards supporting AFF's programs and initiatives! The screening will be followed by a discussion with the filmmaker and a post-screening reception with drinks, a buffet dinner, music, friendship, and more! The screening begins at 6:30pm, followed by the Q&A, and the reception at 9:00pm.
