Saddik Balewa who was born in Bauchi, Northern Nigeria in 1955, is the son of the late Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, the first Prime Minister of Nigeria. After working as a director for the Performing Arts Company Zaria, he went on to work as a drama producer in Nigerian television and as a lecturer in Drama at Ahmadu Bello University. He is a graduate of the National Film and Television School in England.
