Brazil
Marco Schiavon is a Brazillian director and writer. He graduated in 1984 from the Naval School as a Navy Officer, he perfected Naval Aviation in 1989, having flown and traveled with the Navy in Brazil and abroad. He created, produced, directed and edited more than 100 television commercials and institutional videos for the Brazilian Navy. In 1995, he studied cinema at New York University, where he took classes with professionals from the American and foreign film industries. He was the creator and professor of the Film Script Course for Beginners at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) between 1997 and 1998, along with José Louzeiro. His directorial work includes O Xadrez das Cores (2004), highly awarded in Brazil and abroad and O Farol de Santo Agostinho (2005), a children's film which was produced with a MINC award and was shown on TVE Brasil in the program Curta Criança. He also wrote the film Aparecida – O Milagre (2010), directed by Tizuka Yamazake. In 2013, he produced, wrote and directed the feature documentary Nos Confins do Brasil e do Mundo, filmed in Antarctica and on Trindad Island. Biography Source
