Marc Serena is a journalist and published Un-African love? (2014), compiling queer voices from 15 African countries. His previous book, Trip to the 25 (2011), received great success in Asia, where it has been published in Chinese and Korean. He has directed the web documentary Double Epidemic (2015). He wrote and also directed Tchindas (2015), which won Outfest's Grand Jury Award for Excellence in Filmmaking. Other films include Peixos d'aigua dolça (en aigua salada) (2018) and The Writer from a Country Without Bookstores (2019).
