John Wax is a French artist and filmmaker. He began his career in the cinema as a set photographer, for Les Kairas (2012) by Franck Gastambide and Coexister (2017) by Fabrice Eboué. In 2020, Jean-Pascal Zadi offered him the opportunity to co-direct the film Tout Simplement Noir (Simply Black), John Wax’s first film as a director. The film was nominated for Best First Film at the Césars 2021.
