Cameroon
Ellie Foumbi is an actor, writer and director from Cameroon. She holds an MFA from Columbia University’s School of the Arts in Directing. She’s a Student Academy Awards Semifinalist and an African Movie Academy Award Nominee. She was invited to participate in New York Film Festival’s 2018 Artist Academy. She is a Tribeca Film Institute Alumni with her debut feature project, Zenith, which placed in the semifinals of Austin’s Screenplay Competition. She was selected for IFP’s Marcie Bloom Fellowship and the Film Independent Screenwriting Lab. Ellie made her TV directorial debut on BET’s hip-hop anthology, Tales.
