Devin Powell is a writer/director from Charlotte, North Carolina, currently based in Queens, NY. He is a programmer for African Film Festival, Inc and a filmmaker. He studied film at Dartmouth College while playing for the football team as a wide receiver. His last short film, Last Joint premiered at Film at Lincoln Center during the 31st New York African Film Festival. The brash and honest qualities of Hip-hop inspire his visual and auditory storytelling through cinema.
