Belgium
Aurélien Bodinaux was born in Belgium in 1968. After graduating with a degree in theater from INSAS in Belgium, he obtained an MFA in film at the University of New Orleans, where he later taught, before taking up a position as financial consultant with Arthur Andersen in California for three years. In 2000 he created a Belgium-based production company, Néon Rouge Productions, which develops, produces, and directs films. In addition to being a director and a producer, Bodinaux is an audiovisual expert who regularly provides training sessions to international organizations. He has directed several short films, such as the acclaimed film C’est l’amour qui passe (Love is Passing By), starring the trumpeter Nicolas Payton.He is head of the European project CINETOILE and he is member of the film selection committee of the French Community of Belgium. He gives writing and film direction courses for the International Film Festival of Namur (FIFF). He was a producer and co-writer on the 2018 award-winning war drama, The Mercy of the Jungle.
