Niger

Born in Arlit, Niger, in 1988, Amina Weira studied documentary filmmaking at the University of Niamey and at the University of Saint Louis, Senegal. Her short documentary film, C’est Possible, has been selected in many festivals including Cinéma d’Afrique Lausanne, Caméra des champs and Rencontres Sobaté Ouagadougou, among others. Amina is also a film editor and assistant director and worked on the film Koukan Kourcia, les Médiatrices by Sani Magori. La Colère dans le Vent (Anger in the Wind) is her first feature-length documentary.
