Abul Ajak is a visual storyteller and documentary filmmaker who combines her practice with a personal philosophy to influence society through creating a deeper understanding of self, and structures that can be limiting to self-realization and fulfillment. Abul's practice is deeply linked to the desire to create an understanding of self and challenge the limitations to personal, social and structural enlightenment. Through deeply engaging with perspectives, histories and cultural realities, Abul's hope is that stories can allow us to fashion a more just, equitable and beautiful world for ourselves.
