Sierra Leonean Landscapes
The next decade will surely mark exciting developments. Sierra Leone, like many countries, is experiencing changes of climate. As a signatory to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UN FCCC) and Kyoto Protocol, Sierra Leoneans look forward to adopting mitigating actions while striving for the industrial growth associated with national prosperity. The government is therefore intent on implementing social and fiscal policies that encourage environmentally-sensitive business, especially the development of renewable fuels and forestry.
