It’s the 2012 London Olympics and the whole city is going crazy for the fastest man on the planet: Usain Bolt. Everyone apart from 14 year-old Alvin, a second-generation
British Jamaican, who hates sports and just wants to play video games. Unfortunately for him, his whole family is obsessed with athletics, especially his dad Lester who can’t understand how his son became “so soft”. Hoping Alvin will be inspired by the Jamaican athletes on the TV, Lester constantly tries to get his son into the Olympic
spirit. But everything changes when Alvin’s classmates unexpectedly nominate him to compete in the upcoming school sports day, which is being organised in honour of the Olympic Games. Unwillingly thrust into the spotlight, the pressure mounts when Lester excitedly learns the news. With just days to go until the sports day and the
Olympic 100m finals, the race is on for Alvin to make his dad proud and be just like Bolt.
